Overview
Fikat is a mobile app that uses AI to connect people who think alike. Based on a quick personality-driven form, users are matched with compatible strangers and given curated suggestions on where to go for a fika together. Built to fight loneliness one coffee at a time.
Problem
Loneliness is increasingly common, and meeting new people as an adult is surprisingly hard. Existing social apps are noisy, superficial, or built around dating. There was no simple, low-friction way to find a new friend who actually shares your mindset.
Solution
A short onboarding form captures personality and preferences. AI processes the responses to find meaningful matches, then surfaces local fika spots tailored to both users. The experience is intentionally calm, warm, and focused. Built around a shared coffee, not endless scrolling.
